The St. Charles Borromeo School and Parish community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Principal Molly Quinn, whose passing was announced in a message shared by Pastor Rev. Philip M. Forlano. The news has brought profound sadness to students, families, faculty, staff, parishioners, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.
In his letter to school families, Father Forlano described Mrs. Quinn as a dedicated leader whose deep faith, joyful spirit, and unwavering commitment to Catholic education left an indelible mark on the school community. He expressed gratitude for her years of service and reflected on the personal friendship they shared, noting that her loss is being felt both professionally and personally.
Throughout her tenure as principal, Mrs. Quinn was admired for her compassionate leadership and devotion to the mission of St. Charles Borromeo School. She worked tirelessly to create an environment where students could grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Her faith-centered approach to education inspired both students and staff, while her warmth and kindness made her a beloved presence throughout the school.
The school community had also rallied around Mrs. Quinn during her recent health struggles, offering prayers and support as she faced difficult challenges. Father Forlano acknowledged the tremendous care and encouragement she received from families and parishioners during that time, emphasizing how much those gestures meant to her.
As the community grieves, prayers are being offered for the repose of Mrs. Quinn’s soul and for her family, particularly her parents and her daughter, Moira. Funeral arrangements are still being finalized, though the family has requested that both the viewing and funeral Mass be held at St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
Moving forward, school and parish leaders have pledged to continue the work and legacy Mrs. Quinn established. Father Forlano stated that he will work closely with Sister John and the Office for Catholic Education to ensure continuity as the school prepares for the coming academic year.
Though deeply missed, Molly Quinn’s legacy of faith, service, leadership, and love will continue to inspire the St. Charles Borromeo community for years to come.
